Terms of Service

These terms govern use of ChessPeak, an independent online chess platform operated from Brazil. The Public Beta rewards campaign is described below.

Preparatory draft: November 8, 2026. Effective date: to be set before final adoption.

1. Operator and contact

ChessPeak is currently operated by an individual based in Brazil, not by an incorporated company. The operator's legal identification and formal correspondence details must be verified and published before final adoption of these terms.

For account, fairness, privacy and Beta questions, contact official.chesspeak@gmail.com. The operator may later transition the service to a legally established company, with an updated notice identifying the responsible entity.

2. Eligibility and accounts

ChessPeak accounts are intended for people aged 18 or older. The registration process asks for age-related information and an email address. Users must provide accurate information, protect their credentials, and maintain one account per person for Beta reward eligibility.

Registration, account recovery and email confirmation are handled through an authentication provider. Users must not share or sell access to accounts.

3. Playing chess and fair play

ChessPeak provides online matches, ratings, tournaments, training, puzzles, social tools and other features as available during development. Results, rankings and ratings may be recalculated or corrected if a technical error or rule violation is confirmed.

Engine assistance, unauthorized automation, collusion, manipulation of results or rating, harassment, impersonation, spam, vulnerability exploitation and attempts to disrupt the service are prohibited. Reports can be assessed through the fair-play and support channels.

4. Public Beta participation

The Public Beta campaign is free and begins only when the campaign status is officially opened, with its starting and ending dates displayed on the Beta Rewards page. Simply seeing the page or registering before opening does not activate the campaign.

To qualify, a person must use a confirmed ChessPeak account, participate genuinely during the official campaign period and submit at least one useful, genuine feedback report through the Beta Rewards form. Positive and negative feedback are equally eligible; no wins or minimum number of matches are required.

There is no fixed cap on the number of eligible participants. Duplicate accounts, fraudulent claims, copied or automated submissions, abusive messages or materially false participation may be disqualified after review. Feedback submission is limited to three messages per 24 hours, separated by at least 60 seconds.

5. Legacy badge and free VIP rewards

Each approved eligible participant may receive one permanent Legacy badge and 12 months of VIP access free of charge, once per campaign and account. Rewards are reviewed and granted by authorized administrators; submitting feedback alone does not mean it has already been approved.

The Legacy badge is designed to remain associated with the account after VIP ends, while the account and ChessPeak service exist. This is not a promise that the service will operate indefinitely. A canceled or deleted account may lose the ability to display its badge.

VIP is cosmetic only. It can include national chessboard designs, profile frames and VIP identity styling; it does not give competitive advantages. The 12-month reward starts when granted. When the account already has timed VIP access, the award is intended to extend it rather than shorten it. Neither the campaign nor the gift automatically creates a paid subscription or renewal.

If a reward decision appears incorrect, the participant may request review through official.chesspeak@gmail.com.

6. Feedback and user-generated material

Players retain rights in their original feedback and personal material. By submitting feedback, they authorize ChessPeak to read, review, store and use the relevant suggestions to investigate issues, improve the service and administer the Beta campaign, subject to applicable law and the Privacy Policy.

Feedback submissions and administrative replies are visible to the submitting user and authorized administrators, not published publicly by the Beta Rewards feature. Users should avoid submitting passwords, payment details, medical information or other unnecessary private data.

7. Access, moderation and appeals

Accounts, reports or access may be restricted when reasonably necessary for security, fair play, applicable law or the protection of other users. Where appropriate, ChessPeak may investigate evidence, correct outcomes and provide a way to contest significant decisions by email.

The service may temporarily be unavailable during maintenance, infrastructure failures or Beta changes. Features can evolve during testing, but changes to already awarded rewards should not be made arbitrarily or retroactively.

8. Payments and premium access

Beta reward participation is free. The current Beta Rewards program is not a sale, lottery or paid contest. No purchase, deposit or wager is required.

If paid VIP is introduced later, its price, billing terms, cancellation method and any legally required consumer information will be disclosed separately before a paid transaction. No automatic paid renewal results from claiming Beta rewards.

9. Content and intellectual property

ChessPeak's software, branding and original designs are protected as applicable. Users must not copy, reverse engineer in violation of applicable law, or redistribute protected platform assets without authorization. This does not limit rights expressly granted by law or applicable open-source licenses.

10. Privacy, security and cookies

The Privacy Policy explains personal data processed for accounts, chess features, fraud prevention, Cloudflare Turnstile and Beta Rewards. Essential authentication cookies and locally saved preferences may be used to operate the service. For privacy rights or account deletion requests, contact the address above.

11. Changes, applicable law and disputes

These terms are being prepared for a Brazilian-operated service. Applicable Brazilian law, including mandatory consumer and data protection rules where relevant, may apply. This text does not waive rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including protections under other mandatory laws that apply to a user.

Material changes will be published with an updated revision date and, where legally required, communicated to affected users. No exclusive forum, arbitration obligation or limitation of statutory rights is imposed by this draft.

12. Support

Contact: official.chesspeak@gmail.com. For urgent account abuse or security concerns, describe the issue without disclosing credentials.
